Online Gift & Lifestyle Retailer

£310K+
Revenue
The headline figure from this project, exactly as achieved.

A specialist online gift and lifestyle retailer was spending on Google Ads without the numbers adding up. We rebuilt the account from the ground up, cleaned the Shopping feed and concentrated budget on the products and searches that actually converted, producing more than 10,600 tracked sales and over £310,000 in revenue with a far healthier return on ad spend.

The brief

The retailer had a bloated Google Ads account built up over time, with overlapping campaigns, broad targeting and a Shopping feed that had never been properly maintained. Spend was going out, sales were coming in, but return on ad spend was poor and nobody could say with confidence which products were paying their way.

The brief was simple: make Google Ads profitable, with reporting the owners could trust, and do it without a drop in sales during the transition.

What we did

We started with the Shopping feed, because everything else depends on it. Titles, categories, attributes and images were cleaned up so products matched the searches buyers use, and out-of-stock or low-margin items were excluded from paid promotion.

The campaign structure was rebuilt so that products were grouped by category and performance rather than dumped into one catch-all campaign. Search campaigns were tightened around high-intent terms with a thorough negative keyword list, and targeting was narrowed to the audiences and locations that actually bought.

With conversion tracking checked and corrected, we moved budget steadily towards the products and search terms producing sales and away from those producing only clicks. Reporting was set up so the owners could see revenue and return by campaign, not just spend.

Why it works

In eCommerce the feed is the campaign. Clean, specific product data means Google shows the right product for the right search, which improves click quality before a bid is ever adjusted.

Grouping products by performance lets budget flow to what sells. Combined with accurate tracking, the account becomes something you can manage on evidence rather than instinct.

The result

The rebuilt account delivered more than 10,600 tracked sales and over £310,000 in revenue, with a far healthier return on ad spend than the retailer had seen before and reporting that shows exactly where the money is working.

Frequently asked questions

Do you manage Google Shopping as well as search campaigns?

Yes. We manage Shopping, Performance Max and search campaigns for online retailers, and feed optimisation is a core part of the work.

Can you take over an existing Google Ads account?

Yes. We audit the existing account first, keep what is working and restructure what is not, so sales continue during the transition.

How do you measure return on ad spend?

We check and correct conversion tracking at the start so revenue is attributed accurately, then report return by campaign and product group each month.

Which eCommerce platforms do you work with?

We work with WooCommerce, Shopify and most other platforms that can produce a product feed, and we can help fix the feed itself.

Is there a minimum contract?

No. We work on rolling monthly terms with no long contracts, and we offer a free account audit to start.
